Culver Academies vs LaPorte High School
111 73

The Slicers fought with everything they had tonight falling to the Culver Eagles 111-73. What our already small Slicers team had was 9 swimmers and 3 divers after losing 3 more swimmers today to illness and family emergency.
Finishing first in several events, but not deep enough to carry the points, your Slicers continued to have season PRs and overall improvement.
Top finishers for LaPorte were:
200 Medley Relay of Audrey Jeffers (back), Caiya Cooper (breast), Becca Shaffer (fly), and Alicia Wireman (free) in 2:04.07.
Sophomore Caiya Cooper won both the 200 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke in 2:01.39 and 1:13.57 respectively, while Junior Becca Shaffer won the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly in 2:20.85 and 1:00.68.
Sophomore diver Emily Bolen finished second with a point total of 129.25.
These swimmers and divers make their coaches proud.
The Slicers face Portage at home next Tuesday.
Go Slicers!
