The Slicers lost 124-62 to a tough Crown Point Bulldogs team tonight. However, Junior Becca Shaffer and Sophomore Caiya Cooper continued their winning ways by dominating their individual events. Shaffer won both the 200 Individual Medley (2:17.37) and 100 Butterfly (1:00.07). Her IM time was another season best. Cooper won both the 200 Freestyle (2:01.34) and 500 Freestyle (5:22.95). Cooper’s 500 Free was also a season best time. Senior Alicia Wireman continued to improve with a season best 1:07.99 in the 100 Fly, which netted her second place. Junior Audrey Jeffers dropped 4 seconds in her 100 Freestyle finishing in 1:04.15.
The Slicers head to Valpo for the DAC Championships this Saturday.
