The Slicers Girls Gymnastics team lost to the Portage Indians 105.4 to 96.55. The Slicers continue to make improvements and gain confidence. Senior Madison Esmeyer led the Slicers finishing 3rd all around with a 32.2. Esmeyer also finished 8th vault (7.8), 4th bars (7.65), 5th beam (8.05), and 4th on floor (8.7). Junior Ella Schable finished 4th all around with a 32.05. Schable competed vault for the first time this season and scored a 7.85 and placed 7th, 6th on bars (7.5), 6th on beam (7.9), and 3rd on floor (8.8). Freshman Ava Penziol finished 8th all around (31.35), 9th on vault (7.7), 3rd on bars (7.85), 8th on beam (7.65), and 9th on floor (8.15).
Payton Peele led the Portage Indians placing 1st in all but one event. Peele won vault (9.0), bars (8.55), beam (9.55), all around (36.45) and 2nd on floor (9.35). Shelby Conrad placed 2nd all around (35.65), bars (8.3), beam (9.2), 3rd vault (8.75) and won floor with a 9.4.
Sophomore Rosie Korell finished 5th vault (7.9), 9th bars (6.9), 3rd beam (8.4), 10th on floor (7.95) and 9th all around (31.15). Sophomore Kate Thibideau finished 10th on vault (7.5), 11th on bars (6.1), 12th on beam (5.2), 11th on floor (7.7) and 10th all around (26.5). Junior Samara Hale finished 11th on vault (7.0) and 11th on beam (7.1)
