The Girls Varsity Gymnastics team fell to Crown Point High School last night 107.85 to 96.7. The Slicers honored senior Madison Esmeyer with a senior night celebration. Esmeyer led the Slicers with a personal best score on floor with a 9.3 placing 2nd. She scored a 8.55 on vault for 7th, 7.6 on bars for 7th, 7.9 on beam for 8th and a 33.35 all around for 4th place.

Lilly Stoelb led the Bulldogs finishing 1st in bars with a 8.75 and all around with a 35.25, 2nd on vault with a 8.75, 5th on beam with a 8.5, and 3rd on floor with a 9.25. Ysabel Maunes was 2nd all around with a 35.1, 3rd on vault (8.7), bars (8.2), and beam (9.3), and 7th on floor (8.9) and Kayla Ventura was 3rd all around (33.9), 5th vault (8.6), 4th bars (8.1), 6th beam (8.2) and 6th on floor (9.0).

Freshman Ava Penziol finished 5th all around for the Slicers with a 31.2, 9th on vault (8.0), beam (7.3), and floor (8.25), and 6th on bars (7.65).Junior Ella Schable finished 9th on bars (7.15), 7th on beam (8.0), and 8th on floor (8.6). Sophomore Rosie Korell finished 6th all around (29.4), 8th vault (8.4), 10th bars (6.4), 11th veam (7.1) and floor (7.5). Sophomore Kate Thibideau finished 7th all around (27.9), 9th on vault (8.0), 11th on bars (5.1), 10th on beam (7.15) and floor (7.65) and junior Samara Hale finished 11th on vault (7.6) and 12th on beam (5.1).

The Crown Point JV team recorded a 98.8 team score with standouts from Lilli Anderson 1st on vault (8.7), Bridget Godsen 1st on bars (8.2) and floor (8.65), and Megan Pappenheim 1st on beam (8.25).

The Slicers added new and more difficult skills to their routines last night and will continue to work on improving their routines as they travel to Elkhart on Saturday, Jan. 16 to compete in the East-West Invitational.
