The Slicers were victorious in their first game against a 5-1 South Bend St. Joe team by a score of 45-35. Drew Noveroske led the Slicers with a season-high 13 points. Alvin Rallings played a great all-around game adding 6 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Tommy Samuelson added a season-high and game-high 8 rebounds.

La Porte lost a tough one in their second game, 46-44 to host Logansport. Kyle Kirkham led the Slicers in scoring with 12 points. Drew Noveroske added 8 points despite only playing half of the first quarter. Drew’s younger brother, Spencer, added 5 points, 3 steals, and 2 charges! The Slicers trailed by 13 early in the 4th quarter, but they fought back and had an open look for a three to win the game.

Coach Hise had this to say after the game, “It certainly was not a lack of effort from these boys. They fought until the very end like always.”

The Slicers are now 7-2 on the season and host Lafayette Jefferson Saturday afternoon.
