Hayden Lowe had all the right stuff on Saturday for LaPorte Slicer JV, allowing 0 runs and besting Goshen by a score of 13-0. The Slicers got things moving in the 1st inning. Carson Stalbaum grounded out, scoring a run. LaPorte put up 5 runs in the 6th inning. Evan Cizewski, Jacob Pinkerton, Brady Bernth and Lowe all drove in runs in the frame. Lowe pitched the Slicers to victory. He lasted all 6 innings, allowing 0 runs, 4 hits, 3 walks and striking out 10. The Slicers smacked 1 home run on the day. Stalbaum went yard in the 3rd inning with a grand slam. LaPorte tallied 6 hits on the day. Bernth and Jack McGuire each managed multiple hits for the Slicers. LaPorte was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. The Slicers are next in action Tuesday, April 16th, when they will take on Portage on the road. First pitch is slated for 4:30 p.m.
