Lebo Named Captain at IU

Congratulations to former Slicer Taylor Lebo on being named a captain for Indiana University’s Volleyball Team.

High Expectations

     Last year the LaPorte Girls Cross Country team finished 7th in the State. With returning 6 of their top 8 runners there are high expectations for the Slicers. The defending DAC Champions feature sophomore Shelby Riehle (18:52), who was the DAC 3200 Champion in Track and is the girls’ highest returning State finisher.

Samuelson to Valparaiso University

Congratulations to Andy Samuelson on his verbal commitment to Valparaiso University. Samuelson, a senior left-handed pitcher, threw 21.3 innings, had a record of 3-2 and opposing hitters only posted a .186 batting average against in the 2016 season.  He also led the Slicers in hitting with a .393 clip.

Slicer Pass Information

The La Porte High School Athletic Department will begin selling 2016-17 “SLICER PASSES” beginning on Wednesday, July 13th at the high school.  The SLICER PASS allows for admittance to all home Slicer athletic events, excluding tournaments & invitationals, at a savings from gate admittance price.  The SLICER PASS may be purchased in increments of 10,
