Meet Recap – New Prairie Sectional The Slicer Boys and Girls competed at the New Prairie Cross Country Sectional today. The girls wrapped up their season with a 10th-place team finish. Leading the way for the Lady Slicers were Caylin VanShoyck and Vivian Leniski, who both ran strong races to qualify for the New Prairie Regional next weekend. Caylin placed 10th and Vivian 27th in a field of 90 runners. The Regional Meet will also be held at New Prairie High School next Saturday. The boys’ race begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the girls’ race at 11:15 a.m. The top 5 teams and top 15 individuals not on qualifying teams will advance to the State Championship in Terre Haute.
