The LaPorte Slicer Boys Cross Country Team came in 3rd Place at the New Prairie Sectional. The boys struggled with sickness and injuries this week which kept out a key scorer on the team. Many of the boys stepped up and ran their strongest races of the season. Caleb Rose ran a great race coming in 5th place with a time of 16:50. Reagan Buchanan ran a fearless race, putting him up with some of the sectionals best runners with a 12th place finish in 17:13. Jack Miskowicz ran a tough race, battling injury. He finished in 17th place, earning himself an All-Sectional Finish. Rounding the scoring of the Slicers was Luke Romine (26th) and Brody Griffen (41st). The Slicers will compete at Regionals next saturday at New Prairie.
