Varsity vs Portage High School (87 - 45) Win It was a night of personal bests on the track and in the field as the Slicers earned their 2nd win in conference play. Highlighting the evening was a dominant performance from the throws crew, as they swept both events to earn 18 points on the night. Malachi Washington won the shot put with a new best throw of 53' 0.5", and Lucas DelRio right behind with his new PR of 51' 3". Aiden Easton winning the discus with a new PR of 136' 9", Gavin Wilson winning both 110 and 300 hurdle events with new PR's of 15.46 and 39.71 respectively, Destin Matzke winning the long jump (20' 10"), and tying the sophomore school record in the high jump (6' 2"). Tayshaun Williams won both the 100 and 200m races with times of 11.01, and 21.81, while Landyn Hunt dominated the 400 with a time of 50.95. Mason Harlow won the pole vault (10'). Liam Lilly won the 800m run with a time of 2:02.81. The Slicers team of Landyn Hunt, Hunter Quadlin, Jack Miskowicz, and Vinny VanMeter also won the 4x800 relay (8:43.44), while the squad of Ayden Hunt, Keigan Henckel, Liam Lilly, and Gavin Wilson won the the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:34.39. Altogether, it was a dominant team effort resulting many athletes earning spots on the Slicers All-time and/or class performance lists while sweeping multiple events throughout the evening.
