Goshen Junior Varsity Redhawks tied the game up in the bottom of the first thanks to three singles. La Porte Slicers JV took the lead, 8-4, in the top of the second thanks to doubles by Matzke, and Ethan Badger. Four more La Porte Slicers JV runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 12-4. Noah Combs singled, scoring one run, and Matzke homered to left field, scoring three runs. Luke Lambert earned the win for La Porte Slicers JV. The left-handed pitcher allowed seven hits and four runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking one.
