Adrian, Wildhart and Hakim Break Three Knox Pool Records Enroute to a 147-32 Victory

The LaPorte Slicers Boys Swimming and Dive team traveled to Knox tonight to take on the Redskins, and cruised to a 147-32 victory. The Slicers won every event and topped it off with three Knox Pool swimming records. Otto Wildhart broke the 100 Butterfly record. Chaise Adrian broke the 500 Freestyle record. And, Abbas Hakim broke the 100 Breaststroke record. Adrian and Hakim broke their records by 4 and 3 seconds respectively. The Slicers opened the meet going 1-2 in the 200 Freestyle Relay with: Roman Garay (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (freestyle). The quartet of swimmers just missed the pool record by 0.29 seconds. Along with the 500 Free record, Chaise Adrian also won the 200 Freestyle, with Chase Childers and Milo Jimenez going 2-3. Abbas Hakim won the 200 Individual Medley by 15 seconds, and later went on the win the 100 Breaststroke in record time. Otto Wildhart won the 50 Freestyle, and after a break for diving broke the pool record in the 100 Butterfly. Andrew Hayes won diving with teammates Marco Serna and Dylan Kalsow going 2-3. Roman Garay won both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. LaPorte went 1-2 in the 200 Freestyle Relay with: Chase Childers, Cameron Hatala, Andrew Hayes, and Karter Griffin. The Slicers also went 1-2 in the 400 Freestyle Relay with: Adrian, Wildhart, Garay and Hakim. BIG SLICER Shoutouts to Karter Griffin, who had a lifetime PR in the 100 Butterfly, and Malachi Talbot who had a lifetime PR in the 100 Freestyle. Bryce Kovalcin also had a lifetime PR in the 100 Free. The Slicers record climbs to 15-3. They travel to Lake Central on Saturday for the DAC Championship Meet. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
