Slicer Gymnasts placed 2nd at the Elkhart Invitational today and continued to improve their overall score. Elkhart was 1st 107.85 and LaPorte was second with a season high of 95.6. 3rd East Noble 93.0 4th Westville 92.7 5th Michigan City 91.95 6th New Prairie 87.7 Evie Travis placed on all events: vault 8.2-5th, bars 7.75-5th, beam 8.55-3rd, season high on floor 9.15-8th, and 3rd all-around 33.65. Kate Doty also placed on all events tying with Evie on vault 8.2 for 5th, bars 7.45-6th, beam 7.75-10th, and a season high 9.5 on floor for 4th, and 4th all-around 32.9. Genny Witulski was 6th on beam 8.0 and scored a season high on floor 7.55 and all-around 29.1, She also scored a 7.8-vault and 5.75-bars. Jules Schadt scored 7.8 on vault, tying with Genny, 5.4 on bars competing a new dismount, 6.5-beam, 5.75-floor, and 25.45 all-around. The Slicers host Valparaiso Tuesday, January 21 for their next meet. Great job ladies!
