LP Girls Swimming and Diving Beats Hobart 113-65, and Merrillville 132-31 in a Triple Dual Meet

The LaPorte Slicers Girls Swimming and Dive team traveled to Hobart to face the Brickies and the Merrillville Pirates in a Triple Dual Meet. The Slicers beat the Brickies 113-65, and beat the Pirates 132-31. The Slicers swam well, and there were a lot of personal best times. Even though the score was lopsided in LaPorte's favor, you could see the growth in both the Hobart and Merrillville teams. Top Finishers for LaPorte were: 200 Medley Relay: Cali Hatala (backstroke), Noor Hakim (breaststroke), Megan Zolvinski (butterfly), and Lily Siford (freestyle). 200 Freestyle: Isabel Barron and Cali Hatala went 1-2. Isabel and Cali also went 1-2 in the 100 Freestyle. 200 Individual Medley: Noor Hakim and Katelyn Peterson went 1-2. Hakim also won the 100 Breaststroke. 50 Freestyle: Lily Siford and Megan Zolvinski went 1-2 100 Butterfly: Megan Zolvinski and Lyla Bannwart went 1-2 500 Freestyle: Regan Hughes won 200 Freestyle Relay: Lily Siford, Katelyn Peterson, Megan Zolvinski and Isabel Barron won 400 Freestyle Relay: Isabel Barron, Katelyn Peterson, Cali Hatala, and Noor Hakim won. the B relay of Sarah Peterson, Liz Luna, Regan Hughes, and Madi Griffin was second. Regan PR'd in her 100 split. Shoutouts to Liz Luna who had a 50 Free split PR, and Madi Griffin, who had a 100 Breast PR. The Slicers record climbs to 13-7.
