LaPorte Boys Swimming and Diving Beats Warsaw 93-92 in a Nail Biter

The Slicers Boys Swimming and Dive team traveled to Warsaw yesterday, and won 93-92 in a good old fashioned nail biter. LaPorte opened up the meet strong, but Warsaw took a solid lead after diving. The Slicers fought their way back and won by a point in the decisive final race, the 400 Freestyle. Winning for LaPorte were: 200 Medley Relay: Roman Garay (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (freestyle) with a season PR 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle: Chaise Adrian 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly: Otto Wildhart 100 Backstroke: Roman Garay with a lifetime PR. Garay also had a lifetime PR in the 100 Freestyle. 100 Breaststroke: Abbas Hakim 400 Freestyle Relay: Chaise Adrian, Chase Childers, James Quadlin and Roman Garay. Shoutouts to Malachi Talbot, for breaking into the 26s in the 50 Freestyle, Otto Wildhart for his 21.37 50 free split in the 200 Free Relay, and Milo Jimenez for his 16.58 second time drop in the 500 Free.
