The La Porte Slicers Varsity basketball team closed the game on a 10-0 run to defeat visiting Goshen 55-49 in the Steiner Homes Holiday Tournament semifinals. Nic Spence led the Slicers with 18 points, 8 rebounds. Griffin Ott-Large added 13 points and Reed Raymond had 10 for La Porte, who improved to 7-3 on the season with the win. La Porte is back in action Saturday evening for the Championship at 7 PM against the undefeated Northridge Raiders, who defeated McCutcheon 84-50 earlier today. This is a rematch of the 2023 Holiday Tourney Championship, where Northridge defeated La Porte 66-60. Goshen will play McCutcheon in the 3rd place game today at 5 PM at Slicer Gym.
