The Slicers hosted the Highland Trojans this evening and won handily 147-35. LaPorte's specialty stroke talent plus their mostly veteran team proved too much for Highland. The Slicers won every event, and went 1-2-3 in several. It was Senior Night, so several of he swimmers swam off events and the divers even got into the swim action. Divers Andrew Hayes and Marco Serna swam the 100 Breaststroke. Diver Landon Corbett swam the 100 Butterfly, and Freshman diver Dylan Kalsow also got in some relay action. LaPorte fielded 7 seniors, and, while they swam hard and fast, they had a lot of fun out there tonight. The Slicers went 1-2 in the 200 Medley Relay with: Roman Garay (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (freestyle). Freshman James Quadlin won the 200 Freestyle in a season best time. Senior Chaise Adrian stepped out of his comfort zone and swam the 200 Individual Medley, winning the event. Adrian also won the 500 Freestyle. In the 500 free, after asking permission from the Highland head coach, Seniors Otto Wildhart swam the event butterfly, and Abbas Hakim swam it breaststroke. Wildhart won the 50 Freestyle, and Hakim won the 100 Breaststroke. Andrew Hayes Marco Serna and Landon Corbett went 1-2-3 in diving. Roman Garay won both the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke. Senior Chase Childers won the 100 Freestyle, with James Quadlin and Hugo Luna going 2-3. LaPorte went 1-2 in the 200 Freestyle Relay with: Karter Griffin, Andrew Hayes, Chase Childers and James Quadling. The Slicers finished the meet going 1-2 in the 400 Freestyle Relay with: Wildhart, Adrian, Garay and Hakim. The boys season record climbs to 9-2. They travel to Elkhart on Saturday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
