Boys Swimming and Diving Beats Jimtown 174-44, and Mishawaka Marian 174-43

LaPorte Swimming and Diving beat the Jimtown Jimmies and Mishawaka Marian Knights 174-44, and 174-43 respectively. The Slicers swam up several underclassmen to give some of our seniors a rest day, and LaPorte still had the depth to overwhelm to competition. LaPorte opened the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay with an all Freshman crew of : Hugo Luna (backstroke), James Quadlin (breaststroke), Cameron Hatala (butterfly), and Vijay Pillai (freestyle). Quadlin and Chase Childers then went 1-2 in the 200 Freestyle with Childers also picking up the win in the 500 Freestyle. Cameron Hatala and Karter Griffin went 1-2 in the 200 Individual Medley. Andrew Hayes and Landon Corbett went 1-2 in diving. Roman Garay and Karter Griffin went 1-2 in the 100 Butterfly, with Garay also picking up an easy W in the 100 Backstroke. Malachi Talbot and Milo Jimenez went 1-2 in the 100 Freestyle, with Talbot having an exceptional race. LaPorte went 1-2 in the 200 Freestyle Relay with: Garay, Quadlin, Griffin and Childers. Hatala and Quadlin went 1-2 in the 100 Breaststroke, with Hatala having an explosive first 50 to secure the win. The Slicers finished up the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay with: Childers, Griffin Garay and Hatala. LaPorte's record climbs to 8-1 and they travel to Lake Central on Tuesday.
