The Slicers beat the Portage Indians 124-61 tonight at home. Even with the lopsided score, the meet was intense and competitive. LaPorte opened the meet with a big win in the 200 Medley Relay with: Roman Garay (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (freestyle). Roman Garay and Chaise Adrian went 1-2 in the 200 Freestyle, with Garay hitting a season PR of 1:51.99. Garay also won the 100 Backstroke, and Adrian won the 500 Freestyle. James Quadlin won the 200 Individual Medley, and the 100 Breaststroke, in what was probably the most exciting race of the evening. Quadlin out-touched Gibson Kelly of Portage by .27 seconds. Otto Wildhart won both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Wildhart had a lifetime PR of 21.66 seconds in the 50 Freestyle, passing Kondratavicious of Portage in the final 20 yards. Landon Corbett won diving, and also filled in 3 swimming relays. LaPorte ended the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay with: Chaise Adrian, Otto Wildhart, Roman Garay and Chase Childers. The Slicers record climbs to 6-1 and they host Jimtown and Marian on Saturday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
