Slicers defeat Plymouth 62-54

The Varsity Boys Basketball team earned its first win on the year, defeating Plymouth 62-54 in front of a lively crowd at Slicer Gym. The Slicers had four players in double figures with a balanced offensive attack. Griffin Ott-Large led the way with 16 points. Sawyer Tonagel scored 14 points, going 4-6 from three, Nic Spence pitched in 13 points and Tim Knoll added 11 for LaPorte (1-2). The Slicers used an 11-0 run in the third quarter to erase a 9 point deficit before closing out the victory in the fourth. LaPorte is back in action on Saturday at New Prairie High School at 5:30/7:00 PM.
