The Slicers hosted Culver Academies Swimming and Dive team tonight and won 124-62. LaPorte won every event except the 200 Freestyle Relay. The Slicers opened the meet going 1-2 in the 200 Medley Relay with: Roman Garay (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (freestyle). Chaise Adrian won the 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle with season best times. Cameron Hatala and James Quadlin went 2-3 in the 200 Individual Medley, with both swimming fantastic races. Otto Wildhart and Karter Griffin went 1-2 in both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Andrew Hayes and Marco Serna went 1-2 in Diving with Marco getting a lifetime PR of 175.55 points. Roman Garay and Abbas Hakim went 1-2 in the 100 Freestyle, with Garay also winning the 100 Backstroke. Abbas Hakim and Cameron Hatala went 1-2 in the 100 Breaststroke. The Slicers finished the meet with a 15 second win in the 400 Freestyle Relay with: Adrian, Wildhart, Garay and Hakim. LaPorte has been training hard both in the pool and weight room. It's nice to seem them swim fast knowing they're exhausted from a long week of school and training. The Slicers record climbs to 3-1.
