The Slicers Girls Swimming and Dive team fell to Culver Academies 95-87 in a real nail biter. The score went back and forth through the first half of the meet. Culver took a big lead after diving, due to the Slicers lack of girl divers. LP came back after the 100 Freestyle, and took the lead 79-77 after the 200 Freestyle Relay. Culver fought back and won the 100 back and 100 breast to take the lead for good. The coaches and I are so proud of the effort and focus of our girls team. They all gave their best effort, and need to hold their heads high. Top finishers for LaPorte: 200 Freestyle: Katelyn Peterson 1st, Noor Hakim 2nd 100 Freestyle: Lily Siford 1st, Katelyn Peterson 2nd. 500 Freestyle: Cali Hatala 1st 200 Freestyle Relay: Isabel Barron, Grace Caviston, Lily Siford and Megan Zolvinski There were a lot of great swims, and a big Slicers Shoutout goes to Madi Griffin for getting a PR in her 100 Freestyle.
