The LaPorte Slicer wrestling team wrestled 10 matches over the holiday break compiling a 7-3 record. The Slicers defeated John Glenn, Eastside, Wheeler, Garrett JV, Fort Wayne Wayne, Goshen, and Lakeland. The Slicers fell to South Bend Riley, Munster, and Bellmont. Competing well over the weekend was Grant Uhlemann earning a 8-2 record and Lucas Marshall who wrestled his way to a 9-1 record. The Slicers also had two wrestlers who left the weekend with a perfect 10-0 record. Josh England earned 10 wins, including 6 pins and 2 technical falls. Porter Ivankovig also earned 10 wins, including 7 pins. The Slicers will be back in action on Wednesday, December 4th when they take on the Crown Point Bulldogs at LaPorte High School at 6:30 pm.
