Slicers Swimming and Diving Beats New Prairie 133-52

The LaPorte Slicers Boys Swimming and Dive Team Beat the New Prairie Cougars at New Prairie today. LaPorte came out strong winning the 200 Medley Relay by 9 seconds with: Roman Garay (Backstroke), Abbas Hakim (Breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (Butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (Freestyle). The Slicers then went 1,2,3 in the 200 Freestyle with Adrian first, Garay Second and Milo Jimenez coming up from fifth to finish a strong third. LaPorte also went 1,2,3 in the 200 Individual Medley behind James Quadlin, Cameron Hatala and Karter Griffin. Otto Wildhart won both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. The Slicers pulled off another 1,2,3 in the Fly behind Wildhart, Griffin and Vijay Pillai. In Diving, Andrew Hayes and Landon Corbett went 1,2. Marco Serna finished fourth with some nice dives. Adrian, Chase Childers and Pillai went 1,2,3 in the 500 Freestyle. Abbas Hakim won the 100 Breaststroke with James Quadlin finishing second. The Slicers finished the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay: Adrian, Wildhart, Garay and Hakim did the job, winning by 31 seconds. The Slicers record is 1-1 and they host Michigan City and Marquette on Tuesday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
