The Slicers lost to Valpo 114.50 to 68.50 tonight. The huge gap is the score belies how well our team really swam. The girls won a couple of events, and came in a very close second in some others. The lack of divers also hurt us as Valpo's 1,2,3 dive finish gave them 13 unanswered points. Lily Siford won the 100 Freestyle, with Katelyn Peterson and Nala Hammoud going 2-3 respectively. Siford also finished second in the 50 Freestyle. Cali Hatala won the 100 Backstroke and finished second in the 200 Individual Medley. Katelyn Peterson picked up another second in the 200 Freestyle. Regan Hughes finished third in both the 100 Backstroke and 500 Freestyle. Noor Hakim finished second in the 100 Breaststroke. The Slicers finished second in all three relays: 200 Medley Relay of Isabel Barron (backstroke), Noor Hakim (breaststroke), Megan Zolvinski (butterfly) and Lily Siford (freestyle). 200 Freestyle Relay of Cali Hatala, Regan Hughes, Isabel Barron, and Katelyn Peterson. 400 Freestyle Relay of Megan Zolvinski, Lily Siford, Cali Hatala and Noor Hakim. Great job to all of the swimmers. The Slicers travel to New Prairie on Saturday. Always proud. Go Slicers and Happy Thanksgiving! Coach Brahim
