The Slicers Boys Swimming and Dive team lost to Valpo tonight 119-66. The Vikings proved to be too deep for LaPorte. However, there were several personal best swims and dives for the boys. The Slicers finished second in all 3 relays: 200 Medley Relay of Roman Garay (backstroke), Abbas Hakim (breaststroke), Otto Wildhart (butterfly), and Chaise Adrian (freestyle). 200 Freestyle Relay of James Quadlin, Karter Griffin, Chase Childers and Malachi Talbot. 400 Freestyle Relay of Otto Wildhart, Chaise Adrian, Roman Garay and Abbas Hakim. Otto Wildhart won the 50 Freestyle and finished second in the 100 Butterfly. Abbas Hakim finished second in both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke. The 100 Free was exciting from start to finish with Hakim and Valpo's George Patterson going head to head and Patterson out-touching Hakim by .10 seconds. Chaise Adrian finished second in the 500 Freestyle and third in the 200 Freestyle. Roman Garay finished second in the 100 Backstroke with a lifetime PR. Freshman James Quadlin finished third in both the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke. In Diving, Landon Corbett and Marco Serna finished 2-3 with personal best scores for both. A big shoutout to Malachi Talbot and Freshman Hugo Luna who both broke the minute barrier in the 100 Freestyle tonight for the first time. The Slicers travel to New Prairie on Saturday. Always proud. Go Slicers and Happy Thanksgiving! Coach Brahim
