Freshman vs Michigan City High School 14-8 Win Your La Porte Slicers won a tight contest tonight against cross county rivals the Michigan City Wolves. The Slicers struck first early on in the 1st quarter win a 22 yard touchdown run by Jasiah Akins. Drayson Fortenberry was able to come up with a fumble recovery in the 2nd quarter along with forcing a fumble in the 3rd that Grayson Hartfert was able to recover for the Slicers. J'Myre Blash found the endzone once again for the Slicers on a 26 yard run. Jasiah Akins was successful on the 2pt conversion. The defense played hard and sound all night as on unit and only allowed 150 total yards on the night. The offense was able to eat up a bunch of the clock with 285 yards on offense. Your Slicers will be in action for their final game of the season when the Portage Indians come to town. Kickoff is @ 6 pm at Kiwanis Stadium.
