The LaPorte volleyball team lost its DAC opener 25-16, 25-20, 25-16 at Chesterton on Tuesday night. The Slicers were led offensively by Avery Tulacz and Madison Copeland with five kills each. Kaitlin Wilson added four kills and Abbie DeLee tallied three. Lilly Buckley and Elizabeth Anglin each dished out eight assists. Defensively, Emma Hull had a team-high 13 digs, with Buckley, Anglin and Mia Mendoza adding six digs each. At the net, DeLee and Tessa Koepke had two block kills, while Tulacz recorded five aces from the service line. In the Junior Varsity contest, the Slicers fell 25-18, 25-20.
