The LaPorte Slicer Girl's Cross Country Team secured a narrow victory at the Bransford Invitational this past weekend. The Slicers edged Illiana Christian by 3 points in the win. Additionally, with a very strong back half of the race, Faith Spain was the individual champion in the season opener. Spain won with a time of 19:29.
