Varsity vs Kankakee Valley High School Loss Both Slicers squads played extremely well and determined games and just came short. The varsity Slicers played an inspired game holding the quality Kougars scoreless for 65 minutes when an unfortunate and somewhat controversial penalty was called allowing the Kougars to capitalize. A few minutes later an errant clearance bounced directly at the feet of the opposition counting for a second goal. Slicers however never gave up and finished strong. Every match has seen vast improvements as the team is navigating a tough schedule to start the season and will continue as we head to battle the Highland Trojans on Saturday. Can't wait to see the teams progression and effort in the coming games. Shout out to Ella Wallace for a solid game in goal
