Girls Volleyball drops a pair to Penn/Dwenger

The LaPorte volleyball dropped a pair of decisions to open the 2024 season at Penn High School on Saturday. In the opener, the Slicers fell 25-14, 25-16, 29-27 to FW Dwenger. Elizabeth Anglin and Madison Copeland led the offense with six kills each, while Lilly Buckley dished out a team-high 11 assists. Defensively, Mia Mendoza and Shayla Sorg each tallied eight digs with Buckley and Avery Tulacz adding six digs. Tulacz also recorded two service aces. Against Penn, the Slicers fell 25-10, 25-13, 15-25, 25-16. Copeland again led the offense with 10 kills and Tulacz had nine kills. Anglin dished out 25 assists. Defensively, Emma Hull had a career-high 21 digs with Anglin adding 12. Sorg tallied eight digs, while Tulacz and Mendoza had seven digs.
