The LaPorte Slicers Track & Field Team capped off another history making season with a 23rd place finish (10 points) at the IHSAA State Track & Field Finals in Bloomington. Tayshaun Williams ran to a 3rd place finish in the 200m dash (22.10), while the 4x400m Relay team of Willie Clay, Dylan West, Landyn Hunt, and Williams won their heat and earned a spot on the podium with a 7th place overall finish (3:22.18). Senior Willie Clay, and school record holder, finished with a 22nd place finish with a time of 50.39. Our incredible 2024 Track & Field team ends with a series of incredible accomplishments: 6-1 DAC record 2024 Sectional Champions 3 School Records broken DAC Championship Record 4 All-DAC, and a DAC MVP (Tayshaun Williams) 4 All-Staters And a top 25 finish at the State Championships Thanks to the athletic office, parents, athletes, and fans for their continuous support of LPTF. We are proud to represent our school and community while we try to build a tradition of success, and we couldn't do it without you.
