Boys Track wins Sectional Title

The Slicer Boys Track & Field team captured the 2024 IHSAA Sectional Championship last night at Portage. Not only did the Slicers score in ALL 16 events throughout the meet, athletes advanced to next week's Regionals in each of the 16 events for the first time in program history along the way, besting Chesterton by 2 points with a score of 160.5-158.5. The Slicers were led by outstanding performances on the field, and in the track led by Tayshaun Williams' 1st place finish in the 100m & 200m Dash, Willie Clay winning the 400m Dash, Liam Lilly's first place finish in the 800, and the 4x400 relay team of Willie Clay, Dylan West, Landyn Hunt, and Tayshaun Williams winning with a new school record time of 3:23.39!
