It came down to the wire on Monday as LaPorte grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 6-5, over Valparaiso. The Slicers rallied for one run in the 6th inning and two in the 7th. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the seventh when Natalie Fritzen doubled with two outs, scoring the winning run. LaPorte pounded out 14 hits with Fritzen leading the charge going 4 for 4. Audrey Kneifel (4 RBI) and Evie Travis had three hits, and Addison Hill and Aaliyah Keen with two hits each. Mia Johnson pitched 5 strong innings, and Kieanna Simpson earned the win by completing the final two innings.
