The Slicers traveled to Chesterton this evening and lost 41-142, to a very deep Chesterton team. Even with the loss, LaPorte had some fantastic swims. Cali Hatala finished 2nd in the 200 Individual Medley with a lifetime PR. Noor Hakim finished 2nd in both the 100 Butterfly, and 100 Breaststroke, with two great swims. The 200 Medley Relay team of Abigail Burger (backstroke), Hatala (breaststroke), Hakim (butterfly), and Lily Siford (freestyle), had a season best swim with individual PRs in all of the splits. The same quartet of girls also had a lifetime PR in the 400 Freestyle Relay. More Lifetime PRs achieved tonight: Burger dropped 3 seconds in her 200 Freestyle. Carmen Eguizabal in her 200 Individual Medley. Katelyn Peterson in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle. Siford in the 50 & 100 Freestyle Madi Griffin in the 50 Freestyle Lyla Bannwart in the 100 Butterfly Liz Luna in the 100 Freestyle Emma Boone in the 100 Breaststroke The Slicers record falls to 8-9. They host a very tough Crown Point next Tuesday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
