The LaPorte Slicers Girls Swimming and Dive team hosted the New Prairie Cougars this morning, and fell 103-73. Overall, the Slicers swam well, but New Prairie was too deep. The only two individual event winners for the Slicers were Freshmen Cali Hatala and Noor Hakim. Hatala won the 500 Freestyle by 18 seconds, and Hakim won the 100 Breaststroke by 19 seconds! Carmen Eguizabal had a great race, coming in second in the Breaststroke. The Slicers 400 Freestyle Relay of Hatala, Lily Siford, Abigail Burger, and Hakim also won their event. Shoutout to Paige Doeppke for her 17 second time drop in the 500 Freestyle. LaPorte travels to Michigan City on Tuesday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
