Valparaiso High School: The LaPorte Slicers traveled to Valparaiso this evening and swam some great races, but ultimately fell to the Vikings 106-74. LaPorte opened the meet with a resounding win in the 200 Medley Relay behind: Jake Schroeder (Back), Abbas Hakim (Breast), Otto Wildhart (Fly), and Chaise Adrian (Freestyle). Schroeder and Wildhart both had big PRs. Gavin Crail had a big 200 Individual Medley with a second place finish. Wildhart was second in both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly, with a lifetime Pr in the Fly of 53.95. Crail, Wildhart, Roman Garay, and Allen Fuller had an excellent 200 Free Relay, finishing second in 1:33.31. The biggest win of the evening goes to Jakob Schroeder, who swam a 53.99 in the 100 Backstroke, winning by nearly 7 seconds. The Slicers host New Prairie this Saturday. Always proud. Go Slicers!
