Freshman vs Michigan City High School LA PORTE 8 | WOLVES 0 Your LaPorte Slicers took on the Wolves tonight in a hard-fought defensive battle that lasted all four quarters! Both defenses came ready to play, making every yard difficult to earn as the teams battled for field position throughout the night. The Slicers finally broke through in the second quarter when #23 Kason Sheblosky found an opening on the outside and danced his way down the sideline for a 40-yard touchdown run! #21 Logan Wiesemann followed it up with a successful two-point conversion, giving La Porte an 8-0 lead heading into halftime. The third quarter was a defensive showdown, with neither team able to find the end zone. Both teams continued to battle back and forth, fighting for every inch of field position. In the fourth quarter, the Slicer defense came up big once again! #5 Landen Marshall, who has made a habit of taking the football away from opposing offenses this season, came down with another interception to give LaPorte a crucial possession late in the game. With the ball back in their hands, the Slicers took control of the clock and managed the remaining time to secure the 8-0 shutout victory! This was a complete team effort built on tough defense, disciplined football, and making the most of opportunities when they mattered most.
