Fo the end of the regular season, the Slicers hoste the Pirates on Senior night. THe first half was a back and forth affair with each team only scoring once and could not convert a PAT. The second half opened with a long play by Merrillville that resulted in a TD to open a lead. two series later the Pirates scored again, big plays hampering the Slicer defense. The Slicers did not give up, moving the ball down the field and scoring a touchdown to bring it within 5. The next drive for the Pirates had another big play and took the ball down to the 3 yd line. The Slicers could not hold on and the Pirates went up 25-14. A short drive the end the game stalled midfield.
