The LaPorte volleyball team finished its regular season with a 25-15, 25-15, 22-25, 25-21 victory at New Prairie on Monday night. The Slicers are 27-4 overall heading into Thursday night's IHSAA Sectional match-up against South Bend Riley. Offensively, Ava Holtz led the way with 12 kills, while Emalee Maesch tallied 11 kills. Kate Buckley, Elizabeth Anglin and Madison Dhoore each added eight kills. Bella Meier recorded seven kills and dished out a team-best 39 assists. Defensivley, Maesch had a season-high 24 digs with Izzy Freese tallying 22 digs. Meier also added 13 digs. At the net, Buckley had five blocks and Meier had a team-high four aces from the service line.
