Varsity vs Wheeler High School (3 - 2) Win The lady Slicers started the season off with hard fought win against the lady Bearcats 3-2. Brynlee Ward started the scoring with a beautiful chest ball from a great delivery from Claire Huber. Bearcats tied it shortly after with a nice ball just outside the reach of the Slicers goalie. Then freshman Seliana followed a another nice free kick delivery from Claire Huber once again. Baliegh Miller shortly after halftime put in a nice shot from just outside the the top corner of the penalty box. Bearcats countered with another shot once again just outside the reach of goalie Grace Caviston. Slicers were able to maintain the lead and closed the game out for the 3-2 victory. Players and coaches are very pleased with the efforts of not only being the Slicers win but first game of the season. Slicers are going away to play the lady vikings of Valparaiso on Tuesday this week.
