The Slicers traveled to New Prairie to take on the Cougars and had a tough time getting things going in the game. Mandy Yang and Keianah Hart went a combined 5 of 14 for 60 yds and 3 INT. Avery Nelson rushed for 16 yds and had one interception. Siona Ohime had three catches for 30 yards,two first downs as three tackles on defense. The Varsity Squad heads to Michigan City to take on the Wolves 6pm. In the JV game, the Slicers were unable to hit pay dirt, but had several big plays along the way. Raelyn Bontrager led the team in passing with 35 yards, Lucinda Desi lead the team in rushing with 21 yards, and McKenna Long and Emma Hersom led the team in receiving yards with 16 and 12 yards respectively. The defense was led by Emma Hersom with 5 tackles, Molly Guthrie with 4 (and two for a loss), and Grace Bray-Daley with 3 tackles and one pass breakup and one INT. Bontrager and Taniyah Cooper each had two tackles for loss on the day. The JV squad will head to South Central on Tuesday 6pm start.
