The LaPorte Slicers girls' golf team traveled to Sandy Pines today to participate in the Kankakee Valley Invitational. The team finished 5th out of the 18-team field. Anna Menne led the Slicers finishing 5th over all with a 78. Also scoring for LaPorte were; Brooke Buchanan 89, Adalyn Fogus 96 and Lily Kirk 101. Best score of the day went to Valparaiso's Kennedy Gutierrez with an impressive 69. Next up for the Slicers is a varsity match against South Central on Wednesday.
