The LaPorte girls' golf team started their season with a 1st place victory in the LaPorte county golf tournament hosted by Michigan City. The Slicers had 17 pars and 3 birdies as a team. Anna Menne finished top honors of the tournament by shooting a 67. Lilly Kirk placed 2nd with a 71. Rounding out the Slicers scores were Brooke Buchanan with a 76 and Lily Spain with an 87. The lady Slicers travel to Pretty Lake Tuesday.
