On Tuesday, June 9th, over 125 Slicer student-athletes took some time from their summer break to attend La Porte's 1st Student Leadership Seminar. The Slicers worked with Mike Eger, of Education Stadium, on topics like: mindset/confidence, attitude, overcoming injury, commitment, and team discipline. The students worked in both large and small groups in the Main Gym, PAC, and Cafeteria. Chick-fil-A sponsored the lunch, and students left with their own "Slicer Crew" shirt to commemorate the day. Slicer Athletics would like to thank all of the student-athletes that were in attendance, as well as Mike Eger and Chick-fil-A. This ended up being a fantastic event that we will attempt to do again the future! ONCE A SLICER, ALWAYS A SLICER!!!
