The LaPorte volleyball team improved to 23-4 on the season and 10-1 in Duneland Athletic Conference play with a 25-12, 25-10, 25-18 victory over Michigan City on Tuesday night. Offensively, Emalee Maesch led the way with nine kills, while Ava Holtz added seven kills. Isabel Freese, Kate Buckley, Elizabeth Anglin, Avery Tulacz and Madison Dhoore all tallied three kills in the win. Bella Meier dished out a team-high 21 assists. Defensively, Freese led the team with 12 digs and Meier added 11. Holtz tallied nine digs and Maesch had seven digs. At the net, Buckley recorded five blocks, with Maesch and Dhoore tallying three blocks each. On the service line, Holtz had seven aces, while Freese and Anglin contributed two each.
