The LaPorte Girls Track and Field team finished their season with a fantastic showing at Regionals on May 26, 2026, at Portage High School. Although the team did not have any State qualifiers this season, the ladies did an amazing job at Regionals and throughout the entire season. LPGTF placed 18th out of 37 teams, scoring 5 points. Results were as follows (with top 8 finishers scoring): 100m Dash- Kyria Zapala (12.63) 8th Place 1600m Run- Caylin VanShoyck (5:34.54) 12th Place 200m Dash- Kyria Zapala (25.76) 6th Place Shot Put- Rae Dawsey (36-01.5) 8th Place As the season comes to a close, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all parents, family members, meet workers, media, and athletes for making our season so fantastic. We truly could not do what we do as a team without all the continued support. To our seniors, thank you for everything you have done for LPGTF. We are so proud of you and know your futures are incredibly bright.
