Dickman tripled in the sixth inning, singled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the sixth inning. La Porte got on the board in the top of the first inning after Andrew Colon singled down the left field line, and New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars committed an error, each scoring one run. The Slicers added one run in the third after Colon singled down the left field line. La Porte scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the sixth inning. Ian Mitchell drew a walk, scoring one run, Madix Splix drew a walk, scoring one run, Jayden Proffitt drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Quinn White singled, scoring two runs. Colon earned the win for the Slicers. The righty surrendered seven hits and three runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking three. La Porte collected 13 hits in the game. Wes Kaiser, White, Colon, and Zack Donah each drove in two runs for the Slicers. La Porte had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Mitchell and Colon led the team with two free passes each. The Slicers stole six bases in the game. In the championship, La Porte Slicers JV beat South Bend Adams Junior Varsity Eagles 4-1. La Porte got on the board in the first inning after Jake Dickman hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. A single by Ian Mitchell gave the Slicers the lead, 3-1, in the top of the fifth. Dickman earned the win for La Porte. The starter surrendered five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out nine and walking two. Mitchell and Dickman were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for the Slicers. Kaysen Henriott and Jayden Proffitt each stole multiple bases for La Porte. The Slicers stole seven bases in the game. La Porte was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Wes Kaiser made the most plays with 10.
