LaPorte Slicer Varsity got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Joey Kirk singled, scoring two runs, Noah Combs singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and a wild pitch scored one run. LaPorte Slicer Varsity added one run in the second after Kirk singled down the right field line. Nate Moses earned the win for LaPorte Slicer Varsity. The starter allowed seven hits and four runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one. Hunter Cole took the loss for Portage Varsity Indians. The starting pitcher went five and one-third innings, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out eight and walking three. CT Rusboldt collected the save. Kirk provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led LaPorte Slicer Varsity with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Kirk and Rusboldt each collected two hits for LaPorte Slicer Varsity. Cole and Brody Braden each collected two hits for Portage Varsity Indians.
