Runs Hard To Come By In La Porte Slicers JV Win Versus Valparaiso Junior Varsity Vikings

Both teams were strong on the hill on Tuesday, but La Porte Slicers JV defeated Valparaiso Junior Varsity Vikings 3-2. Andrew Colon started the game for the Slicers and recorded 18 outs. La Porte didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at two in the top of the sixth when Colon singled, scoring one run. The Slicers tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to an error, and a ground out by Zack Donah. Colon earned the win for La Porte. The righty allowed three hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking three. Colon and Donah each drove in one run for the Slicers. Jake Dickman stole two bases.
